Simon Mansbridge, from Pet Resorts Australia Eumundi, has been announced as PIAA’s new boarding and pet services director.
The announcement was made at PIAA’s AGM last week. Mansbridge will be taking over from interim director Karen De Bruin, who welcomed Mansbridge to the Board.
“I would like to welcome Simon Mansbridge from Pet Resorts Australia Eumundi. Simon has been in the pet industry for many years and brings with him some great ideas, passion, and experience to the Board.”
De Bruin said it is a challenging and scary time, with many governments now wanting to implement new laws regarding the breeding and keeping of domestic animals.
“Some of these new laws will be good for the industry, while there are also many that could cripple or even see many businesses go out of business. This is where a very strong voice is needed in government.”
Anthony Ramsey, President of the PIAA, stated there are still vacancies in retail and one of the national director positions.
The current directors are Sandra King (National), Anthony Ramsey (National and President), Jo Marsden (Grooming), Paul Frith (Breeding), Graeme Faulkner (Manufacturing and Distribution) and Paul Talbot (Aquatics & Vice President).
