The Animal Emergency Centre (AEC) Kedron has reopened its doors after a two-year hiatus and will be led by Dr Taylor Argent BVSc (Hons).
Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, AEC Kedron is prepared to handle a wide range of pet emergencies, from trauma and toxic exposures through severe medical and endocrine disorders and surgical interventions.
Dr Argent, who has six years of emergency experience and previously worked as a Clinical Coordinator in Canberra before joining AEC Kedron, said he is excited to be leading the team.
“The opportunity to offer our patients gold standard care, perform many diagnostics in-house and provide an exceptional experience to our patients and clients.
“Being part of the Animal Referral and Emergency Network (AREN) and Greencross Pet Wellness Company means I can draw on some of the best practice techniques that our sister sites have developed without the need for many trials and tribulations.”
AEC Kedron team of vets and nurses provide a range of emergency and critical care services including stabilisation and monitoring of critical patients, surgery, x-ray, ultrasound, in-house pathology and diagnostics, intensive care and hospitalisation, and will soon offer endoscopy.
“I am looking forward to sharing my experience and learning from my peers across the AREN network, collaborating to help create a positive workplace culture that, in-turn enhances the delivery of exceptional patient care,” said Dr Argent.
AEC Kedron, which is located in the same building as Petbarn, will be open 24 hours on weekends and public holidays. Monday, Thursday, and Friday, it will be open from 5pm-8am with the intention to be open seven days in the coming months.
