PetRescue Australia has been recognised for Outstanding Achievement at the Australian Charity Awards 2021 for its contribution towards the animal welfare space.
The animal welfare charity has provided more than $10.5 million worth of support to help pets across Australia through large scale food and product donations, pet transport programs, and initiatives such as its pet adoption website and listing management platform.
Patima Tantiprasut, Managing Director, PetRescue, said it is incredibly humbling to win the Outstanding Achievement Award.
“We’re forever pushing forward knowing that there’s still such a long way to go until every pet in Australia is safe, respected, and loved. What we’ve achieved so far wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our pet-loving community of supporters, our major partners, and the huge heart and efforts of the incredible rescue community in Australia.”
This year PetRescue reached a milestone of helping more than 719,000 pets find homes, since the charity was launched in 2004.
“We did this by staying true to our mission and continuing to do what we’re good at; moving fast, embracing innovation, challenging ideas, leveraging technology, and championing for change,” said Tantiprasut.
During the pandemic, PetRescue launched an innovative new pet adoption space Home2Home, providing pet owners a safe option to find new homes for their pets with the support and assistance of PetRescue.
