In the lead-up to Zoomark 2023, Europe’s leading pet industry trade fair, the company has launched a series of webinars to whet anticipation for the event.
The webinars will cover some of the most topical issues facing the pet industry in Europe and globally. Each is designed as a point of reference for pet industry professionals and will preview some of the educational events Zoomark is developing for exhibitors and visitors.
The in-person event will be held at BolognaFiere, Italy, on May 15 – 17, with the first online webinar going live last month on the subject of The national and international scenarios of the pet market. An exploration in the run-up to Zoomark 2023, with a view to making the most of the show.
Guest speakers included Luciano Fassa, General Manager of Monge & C. S.p.A., Paolo Castegnaro, Operations Manager of Trixie Italia S.p.A., and Paola Cane, CEO of MiaSolutions. The round table discussion, held after the main event, was moderated by Davide Bartesaghi, Editorial Director of Pet B2B.
Fassa noted that all-in-all, the pet industry had been a covid winner, with pet ownership increasing in Italian households over the past two years.
“Over the last two years, the increase in the number of pets in Italian households has led to exceptional results across the industry,” he said.
“It is not yet clear how the rising prices of energy and raw materials and the rate of inflation will impact on the consumer, but we must remain optimistic, because the market is in good health, and has solid foundations: pets are now to all intents and purposes members of the family,” said Fassa.
The full recording of the webinar is available here, with more to be released over the next few months.
